Our Adult Lamb* dry food has been prepared with FSG (Fleischsaftgarung). FSG is a method of preparing fresh meat. It comes from the kitchen rather than the feed industry. It was modelled on techniques that top chefs often use to prepare meat, in a tastier and also healthier way.
With FSG (Fleischsaftgarung), fresh meat is cooked in a vacuum at low temperature, using only its own meat juices. After a long cooking time, during which the moisture of the meat juice is slowly reduced, this dry food is created.
The dry food Adult Lamb prepared with FSG (Fleischsaftgarung) is primarily cooked meat which means following for your dog:
extra tasty,
as nutritious as BARF,
excellent for building muscle,
quickly digestible,
effectively absorbed and
chewable-soft due to the meat juice.
Our dry food also reduces the risk of gastric torsion because it does not swell in the stomach.
Safe and honest For you, we have our dry food tested regularly and independently by one of the most renowned test centres in Germany, ELAB Analytik GmbH (formerly TÜV SÜD ELAB). What is tested:
Our fresh meat content: Checking recipe compliance at the point of preparation
For contaminants, to protect the health of your best friend
Our declaration
* Our dry dog food prepared with FSG has a new, elegant design, although the preparation method and recipe remain unchanged, of course! As part of the new design, we have also unified the names of the products. You will therefore find our Lamb+Rice dry food under the name Lamb. However, in order to be environmentally conscious, we are not disposing of the remainder of the previously used pouches, but are of course using them up. The innovative new pouches will therefore gradually replace the old ones - starting with Adult Chicken in 5kg pouches. The other varieties and packaging sizes will also be gradually replaced, probably by April.
Food change We recommend an immediate change of dog food without a transitional phase. Due to the differences in digestibility, mixing PLATINUM Dry Food with another dry food is not advisable.
We only have positive things to say about this dog food. Jago has a PLATINUM Chicken subscription. He loves to eat the food, which is very good for him.
We’re also really happy with Platinum's excellent service
Heinz-Jürgen M. with his dog Jago
He used to eat different brands and types of food. However, after a while, the foods wouldn’t agree with him, so we would try another, and this went on for some time.
I switched to PLATINUM over 2 years ago and since then he has never had a problem. He tolerates the food really well, both wet and dry. The main reason I chose PLATINUM was its high meat content. Also, the wet food smells really good and the dry food is slightly soft. It is also very wholesome.
We are very happy that we switched to PLATINUM and will remain loyal customers.
Yvonne A. with her dog Rocky
I have been using PLATINUM for several years. I wanted to change over to completely grain-free dry food, but I reverted regretfully. No other food made his skin and coat as beautiful as PLATINUM Chicken. Our Benny shines, does not smell, doesn't have dandruff and his output is also okay.
I remain impressed by Platinum
and hope that this high-quality food will be around for a long time. Another big plus for me is the really fast delivery. I can't remember ever having waited longer than 3 days.
Sylvia W. with her dog Benny
I am really happy with the PLATINUM dry dog food. My dog is very sensitive, and his stomach gets upset very easily. That’s not the case with PLATINUM. His ears are clean,
he doesn’t have problems with skin irritation or digestion.
He loves all the varieties! Thank you for the high quality.
Verena G. with her dog Buddy
Before, Abby would always start refusing dry food after a couple of weeks. Her faeces were always very soft, almost diarrhoea-like. Since she started eating PLATINUM, this has all changed. I was sceptical at first whether such a small portion would fill her up, but it seems to be very filling. The best thing is that she looks forward to her food and always enjoys eating it.
Her coat is shiny.
We are particularly pleased that since she started eating PLATINUM, her flatulence has stopped.
If you want to offer your dog a little variety, you can easily switch
between all types of PLATINUM food. It does not matter whether you give
wet food in the morning and dry food in the evening or vice versa. A
combination of wet and dry food in one meal is also possible, as both
forms of feeding have the same digestibility with PLATINUM.
Every dog is originally descended from wolves, the digestive tract is designed for meat. Our kibbles are designed in such a way that they can be absorbed easily by any breed from the Chihuahua to the Great Dane and they satisfy the needs of all breeds equally.
Compared to conventional dry food, which is mainly made from meat meal, the slow-cook meat juice method requires at least 70% fresh meat in order to prepare PLATINUM dry food. The difference between meat meal and fresh meat is very huge. In order to obtain meat meal from fresh meat, the fresh meat has to be heated strongly and exposed to high heat for a long time, often also to high pressure. This removes the nutrient-rich meat juice from the fresh meat in addition to the flavor carrier fat. Meat meal therefore is significantly lower in nutrients than fresh meat. We know from cooking that meat juice and fat make the roast a pleasure in the first place, which is why we do not prepare the Sunday roast with meat meal. Thanks to the slow-cook meat juice method, the PLATINUM dry food does not contain any locks or flavors, no coloring or odorous substances and no flavor enhancers.
A healthy senior dog can still be fed with PLATINUM as our food is very easy to digest and the ingredients it contains are of high quality. Please note, however, that the energy expenditure decreases with the age and the amount of food should be reduced if necessary. If an illness is discovered in your older dog, we recommend individual advice from our veterinary department.
We recommend an immediate change in dog food without a transition phase. Due to the different digestibility, it is not recomendable to mix PLATINUM dry food with any other dry food.
